His passion is music so wherever and whenever possible, he's making that happen and his passion is our good fortune! Come early for best seats. January 29th, 2010- Showcase for Bentley's Open Mic: Mark Holdaway! Mark is well-known for his excellent multi-instrumental abilities, but for several years has firmly established himself as thee best thumb piano or Kalimba player in Tucson ( and probably farther than that ). I will be singing a few songs with my friend Mark but for those who have not heard Mark, you're in for a real treat. If you are not familiar with this instrument, it's a smallish, wooden box, with metal "keys" and it's played with the thumbs. I give Mark two thumbs up for this! Come early for a hot bowl of soup and a buttery croissant! See ya at OM@B's! And don't forget there's overflow parking in any Zone #1 Lot after 5 PM! ~~Linda

Happy 2010! A few very exciting announcements of events coming up at Bentley's. Bentley's Open Mic returns on Friday January 15th with a trio! These guys have not named their band but are Barry Richards, Robert Collier and our very own Joseph Boudreaux! For those of you who have lived in Tucson for a while you'll realize the fun part of all this is that they played together as a trio over THIRTY YEARS AGO! Some things never die and they remain good friends and fine musicians today!
And speaking of fine musicians, do mark your calendar to catch Mirror Image on January 22nd!!! This duo of twin sisters Andrea and Juliet Wilhelmi truly took the Tucson music scene by storm, winning the 2008 Tucson Battle of the Bands, the John Lennon Tour Bus prize in the jazz category Session One, an invitation to perform at the "Adams Avenue Street Fair, 2009" in San Diego. . . one of 70 bands out of 700
applicants and an invitation by *Our Stage* to perform at the 2009 NAMM convention in Los Angeles!!! In 2009, Mirror Image was featured in their second music
video, "Romeo", shot in the Sonoran desert by the John Lennon Educational
Tour Bus. And most recently the Mirror Image song, "Dearest Stranger" has
placed Andrea and Juliet in the finals of the "Show Me the Music" songwriting
Contest 2009."

Technicolor", their first CD, was recently released by Mirror Image,
comprising nine of their original songs. Andrea and Juliet are
seniors at St. Gregory College Preparatory School. Their musical influences
include the Beatles, Norah Jones, Simon and Garfunkel and Corinne Bailey
Rae. So, catch 'em all while they're hot! Right here at Bentley's. Free with food purchases and gratuities always very much appreciated! See ya @ Om@B's!! ~~Linda

December 2009. Wow. Where'd this year go? Well, some final notes on this cold December night. Gregory Eagle will showcase his talents this Friday, Dec. 11th.
gregory is out of the Telluride-Ouray, Colorado area and his music has a strong Southwestern -hippie-cowboy feel--hard to pin. But a very strong voice and a real nice guy. Closing out the year for us will be the outrageous, inimitable, world-reknowned artist, Hans Mayer. Hans was one of the featured performers at the 2008 Tucson Folk Festival. He has played with folkie Bill Miller and has opened for Pearl Jam, Tori Amos and others. He comes to us from La Crosse, Wisconsin and will be wintering down here for just a couple of months. Hope you catch him. He will be performing for us Friday December 18th.

Gabriel will be at Bentley's this coming Saturday. This will be a dinner-with-the-artist concert so arrive early for best seats. It goes from 6:30 -9:00.
